Over the last couple of months, the weather has been awful to say the least. This has meant good long winter rides have been alot harder to come by. Motivation also slowly seeps away as the light seems to never be returning. This all leads to one thing - 'The Turbo', probably the most dreaded word in the cyclists language. This machine - I believed designed to steal the courage, motivation and sanity of a rider - has become a permanent ornament in my living room - stationed infront of the TV, constantly showing video's of past Tour's; Lance riding away fron Ullrich countless times, letting Pantani the Pirate win on Ventoux, The CSC team in Overcoming, the list goes on and on...
Luckily my new monthly subscription to Cycle Sport, along with some new kit and the weather slowly improving, has meant i am slowly looking up. Looking forward to this coming season, to races and long rides with friends. The legs are feeling good. Vive 2010.
Now im off to ride the turbo! Tabata here we come...
